Virat Kohli has been missing in action since the third Test in Ranchi against Australia, where he injured his shoulder while diving to stop a boundary.
He has also missed the opening matches of Royal Challengers Bangalore’s IPL campaign, in which RCB have lost 2 out of the 3 matches they have played so far. They have lost to SRH in the first game of the IPL 2017, won the match against Delhi and lost to Kings XI last night in a lazy effort.
Last night saw the return of AB de Villiers, who was also out of the first two games of RCB, owing to a bad back, but came back and played a masterly inning of 89* to give RCB a respectable total. However, all eyes were on the return of the man who had an exemplary IPL in 2016, making over 970 runs and 4 centuries, taking his team to the finals single-handedly.
However, the wait has seemed to end, as Kohli posted his return date onto the IPL field for RCB- 14 April. He will be back into the field facing Mumbai Indians, at home in M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
