Avengers: Infinity War was something that Marvel fans hadn’t experienced and thought of like such movie can be made. The culmination of 10 years of Marvel films left the fans baffled, perplexed and emotionally wrecked. Hearts kept thumping for several minutes even after the movie was over. The ending was tough to digest, and people are still engrossed in thoughts of the film.

If you have also been invested in the movie as much and are an ardent fan of Marvel films, we bring you some consolation. If you feel that Infinity War was the peak of Marvel films, there’s a lot in store, which you are probably forgetting about. After having watched the masterpiece, here are some of the other Marvel films that you shall look forward to:

It’s only going to get bigger and better!

1. Ant-Man and the Wasp (July 6, 2018)

Ant-man is returning for the sequel. The Ant-Man and the Wasp trailer has revealed that Ant-Man has been put under house arrest after the events of Captain America: Civil War. However, this is before the Infinity War took place. Looks like Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) was under surveillance or probably missing during Avengers: Infinity War. Has he survived? Only time will tell.

2. Venom (Oct. 5, 2018)

Venom is a spin-off from the Spider-man franchise and is touted to be darkest ever Marvel film. The movie is produced in association with Sony. So, it is intended to be the first film in Sony’s Marvel Universe rather than Marvel cinematic universe. The comedy-horror movie looks quite intriguing.

3. Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse (Dec. 14, 2018)

Poor Spider-Man died in the Infinity War. He was just a kid.  But since the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel is in the works, there are chances that he might not have died. Or maybe, there’s another Spider-Man who will take over him. What will happen? Only the movie will tell.

4. Silver and Black (Feb. 8, 2019)

Sony is quite keen on expanding the Spiderverse, and so, they are planning a stand-alone movie on Silver Sable and Black Cat. Silver Sable, who is the head of the elite squad will fight it off with Black Cat before they join forces.

5. Dark Phoenix (Feb. 14, 2019)

With this one, Fox will bring the Dark Phoenix saga on the big screen. While Jennifer Lawrence will return in the role of Mystique, Michael Fassbender will play Magneto again and James McAvoy will essay the role of Professor X. Jessica Chastain.

Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner who played mutant Jean Grey in 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse taking over the role from Famke Janssen, will also be starring in a stand-alone movie on her character.

6. Captain Marvel (March 8, 2019)

Captain Marvel has collaborated with Guardians Of Galaxy and Avengers in the past, and now the character will get his own standalone film. Brie Larson will be seen playing the role. The movie will be set in 1990’s which will narrate Carol Danvers’ evolution from a fighter pilot to a flying superhero.

In Avengers: Infinity War we saw Nicky Fury calling Captain Marvel before he was disintegrated. Did the extremely powerful hero survive? Only Avengers4 will reveal.

7. Avengers 4 (May 3, 2019)

Avengers: The Infinity Ride was a roller coaster ride of emotions, wasn’t it? There’s a lot of time for Avengers 4, but fans cannot contain their excitement. Meanwhile, the plot for Avengers 4 is out. Read more here.

8. Gambit (June 7, 2019)

The movie which has been in the works for a very long time will finally be released next year. The movie is constantly being delayed because of directors coming on board and then leaving the project. Channing Tatum will play the role of New Orleans-based thief with the ability to charge inanimate objects with explosive power. Are you ready to see Gambit take big risks in this?

9. Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 (July 5, 2019)

Spider-Man AKA Tom Holland’s character Peter Parker is dead, but don’t worry, because the character which debuted in MCU via Captain America Civil War is getting a sequel for his stand-alone film. Currently, the movie is in its production stage. If rumours are to be believed, Spider-Man will fight off a female villain in this one.

10. The New Mutants (Aug. 2, 2019)

This one will be based on the Marvel’s namesake comic. The story will revolve around some new mutants who have been held captive in a secret facility and are fighting to save their lives. The movie will see new actors in the X-Men universe such as Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams, Stranger Things’ Charlie Heaton, 13 Reasons Why are Henry Zaga and Split’s Anya Taylor-Joy.

11. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2020)

After the amazing success of Guardians Of The Galaxy 2, a third film in the franchise is in the works. 12. Black Panther 2 (TBD)

Black Panther may be dead in Avengers: Infinity War but Wakanda lives on. Maybe one of the two — Okoye and M’Baku — will lead the troop. “I think Shuri’s astounding, and you’ll see much more of her in our universe,” Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige had said.

13. Black Widow (TBD)

In Infinity War, we saw Black Widow taking out several Thanos’ children in the battle and surviving the fight in Wakanda. And now, she will be getting her long overdue solo movie. In March, Scarlett Johansson had told Entertainment Tonight, “I think that there’s definitely an opportunity to explore Widow as a woman who has come into her own and is making independent and active choices for herself, probably for once in her life. She hasn’t always had that possibility.”

14. Doctor Strange 2 (TBD)

For long, Marvel was reluctant to confirm a Doctor Strange sequel, and now we know why — because the character disintegrates in Infinity War.  Although Marvel has not officially confirmed the film, director Scott Derrickson had earlier confirmed that they have a concept and villain for the second movie. Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) is expected to play a major role in the movie.

15. Logan Spinoff (TBD)

Logan had not only received great appreciation from fans but critics as well. With that, the movie had also got an Oscar nomination for best screenplay.  Now Fox is working on the script for a spin-off movie. It is said that the story will be centred on little girl Laura, who would possibly pick up Wolverine’s mantel. That would be exciting to see, right?
